Grant Application Season Brings New Opportunities for Regional Investment

It’s a busy time for two major Commonwealth grant programs: the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) and the Local Share Account (LSA) Statewide Program. Both opened within a week of each other, sparking strong interest from organizations eager to invest in the Harrisburg region.

RACP Projects Led by CREDC

The RACP application window stayed open for less than a month, creating a rush of submissions across Pennsylvania. The CREDC team stayed busy during this short window, preparing and submitting several projects.

This round, CREDC filed two direct applications and joined four others as a potential grantee or administrator if funding is approved.

  • YWCA Greater Harrisburg – A $3.6 million request to fund upgrades that improve safety and security for women and children receiving housing, treatment, and support services.
  • Tracy Mansion Redevelopment – A $4.5 million request to turn the historic Front Street property into office and technology space for WebFX, supporting its growth and the hiring of up to 200 new employees.

Both projects differ in scope but share one mission: to strengthen the Harrisburg region through investment and opportunity.

LSA Applications Open Through November

CREDC is now accepting LSA Statewide applications through November 15, 2025, ahead of the Commonwealth’s final deadline on November 30.

Many applicants continue to wait for results from the 2024 round. So far, the Commonwealth Financing Authority has not released any award announcements. The next scheduled meeting is in November 2025.  CREDC will notify applicants as soon as updates become available.

Supporting Regional Development

Through programs like RACP and LSA, CREDC helps businesses, nonprofits, and local governments secure funding for critical projects. These efforts create jobs, improve facilities, and build stronger communities across Central Pennsylvania.
