Bowmans Insurance Group Invests in Permanent Hershey Home

HERSHEY, Pa. – May 21, 2025 – The Capital Region Economic Development Corporation (CREDC) announced the approval of an SBA 504 loan for Bowmans Insurance Group (operating as Big Risk Partners, LLC) to purchase its longtime headquarters at 1120 E. Chocolate Ave. in Hershey.

Owned by Tyler Reitz, Bowmans Insurance Group is a trusted local agency that provides personal and commercial insurance services throughout Central Pennsylvania. Buying the property secures the company’s long-term presence in Derry Township and positions it for future growth.

The U.S. Small Business Administration approved the project on May 21. Orrstown Bank is serving as the third-party lender and is currently bridging the loan until SBA debenture funding is complete later this summer. CREDC guided the SBA 504 loan application process in conjunction with our Certified Development Company partners, SeedCo PA, and will finalize permanent financing to payoff Orrstown Bank bridge financing later this year.

CREDC congratulates Tyler Reitz and the Bowmans Insurance Group team on this important milestone. Supporting local businesses in building equity and expanding their footprint is central to CREDC’s mission of fueling long-term economic development across the region.
