The Capital Region Economic Development Corporation (CREDC), a private 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving the Harrisburg region of Cumberland, Dauphin, and Perry counties, is deeply grateful to those who donate generously to its work. Our investors help CREDC make great things happen for the region. We are pleased to report that in 2024, our donors’ return on investment is $71 to $1. In other words, each dollar contributed to CREDC provided $71 of economic return.
In 2024, CREDC secured more than $11 million in public funding. This funding leveraged over $15 million in additional private sector investment, generating a total economic impact of $26.7 million while retaining or creating 281 jobs.

Here are a few examples of what our investors helped us accomplish this past year:
- Secured more than $8 million in low-interest loans for 10 businesses across all three counties in our region.
- Secured nine grants totaling over $3 million to support eight nonprofit organizations and one expanding business.
- Completed four multi-year Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program projects, creating a total economic impact of over $28 million:

- Hidden Still
- Atlas Building Phase 1
- Hershey Center for Applied Research Phase 4
- Launched the Impact Harrisburg Initiative, focused on helping disadvantaged business owners secure government contracts.
- Formed the Impact Harrisburg Initiative Working Group, a dedicated stakeholder group contributing to the program’s success.
