Harrisburg, PA – September 4, 2024 – We are pleased to announce that Walnut Ridge Farms, LLC has received approval for their latest expansion project and will soon proceed to close. Established in 2020, Walnut Ridge Farms is a farming operation and real estate owner with deep roots in family farming. Owned and operated by Curry, Jr. and Margo Wagner, the couple has been dedicated to growing their operation, which currently focuses on crops such as corn and soybeans.
The project involves the acquisition of 97 additional acres of farmland in Dauphin County, significantly increasing the farm’s capacity by roughly 60%. This expansion will allow Walnut Ridge Farms to enhance their crop production efficiency and meet the growing demands of their business.
The funding for this project includes a $400,000 loan from the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority (PIDA) through the SBF loan pool. The PIDA loan, which will be used to pay off a time note from FCCB, was approved on August 7, 2024, ensuring the project aligns with PIDA program rules.
