The Capital Region Economic Development Corporation (CREDC) recently facilitated two successful loan closings through the Pennsylvania Catalyst Loan Fund, part of the State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI). The fund, also known as the PA Catalyst Loan Fund, is designed to assist small and medium-sized businesses in the region, providing them with the financial support they need to grow and thrive. Two local businesses, Ziegler & Sons HVAC, LLC, and Chris Dawson Architect, LLC, benefited from this program, using the funds to invest in their respective projects and contribute to the development of the local community.
Ziegler & Sons HVAC, LLC
Ziegler & Sons HVAC, LLC, a reputable heating, ventilation, and air conditioning company, was one of the beneficiaries of the PA Catalyst Loan Fund. The loan, totaling $350,000, was closed on March 28, 2024, with an interest rate of 5.5% for five years, amortized over ten years. The company used the funds to renovate an automatic, in-bay car wash located at 830 N. Front Street, Steelton, PA. This project not only revitalized the facility but also contributed to the beautification of the local area, aligning with CREDC’s mission to foster economic growth and development.
Chris Dawson Architect, LLC and CDA 210, LLC
Chris Dawson Architect, LLC, and CDA 210, LLC, two interconnected companies, were the other recipients of the PA Catalyst Loan Fund. Their loan, amounting to $500,000, was closed on April 10, 2024, with an interest rate of 5.5% for five years, amortized over twenty years. The funds were used to assist with the renovation costs of a building located at 300 N. 3rd Street, Harrisburg, PA. This investment enabled the companies to transform the space into a vibrant and functional area, contributing to the revitalization of the downtown area and enhancing the city’s architectural landscape.
These successful loan closings underscore CREDC’s commitment to supporting local businesses and fostering economic growth in the region. By providing financial assistance through the PA Catalyst Loan Fund, CREDC is helping businesses like Ziegler & Sons HVAC, LLC, and Chris Dawson Architect, LLC, to grow and prosper, ultimately benefiting the broader community.
The impact of these loans extends beyond the individual businesses, contributing to the overall development and revitalization of the area. Moving forward, CREDC and the PA Catalyst Loan Fund will continue to play a vital role in supporting local businesses and enhancing the economic vitality of the region.
