The Harrisburg Regional Chamber has taken several actions over the past weeks to advance the priorities of the regional business community in Harrisburg and Washington, D.C.
- Signed onto the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s letter to federal legislative leaders supporting the Prove It Act of 2025. The Prove It Act would strengthen the Regulatory Flexibility Act by closing loopholes that allow federal agencies to hide the cost of regulations to small businesses and allowing for more small business input in the rulemaking process. The Prove It Act is currently being considered by U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Small Business.
- Submitted testimony to the Pennsylvania House Energy Committee at their public hearing on House Bill 2076, which would establish a regulatory framework for geothermal energy development in Pennsylvania. Our testimony urged the committee to prioritize efficient and transparent permitting processes, and regulatory clarity for the industry. House Bill 2076 is currently under consideration by the Pennsylvania House Energy Committee.
The Harrisburg Regional Chamber is proud to be an active advocate for the regional business community at all levels of government. If you have any thoughts, questions, or concerns about the above legislation, or other issues impacting the regional business community, please do not hesitate to reach out to Kevin DiGuiseppe, Business Policy & Advocacy Manager, at kdiguiseppe@hbgrc.org.
