CREDC and LINKBANK Close $4.63 Million Harrisburg Child Care Investment

The Capital Economic Development Corporation (CREDC) is pleased to announce the closing of a $4.63 million financing package in partnership with LINKBANK to support a major Harrisburg child care investment at 3901 North Progress Avenue, Harrisburg, PA 17110, home to Kiddie Academy of Harrisburg, operated by AD Cares LLC.

Closed on January 2, 2026, the transaction transitions the early learning center from tenant to owner, strengthening the long-term stability of a business that plays a vital role in the region’s workforce ecosystem and expanding access to Harrisburg child care for working families.

Access to reliable childcare is not simply a quality-of-life issue, it is a workforce issue. Across industries, employers continue to cite labor availability as a primary challenge. For working parents, dependable childcare often determines whether they can accept and retain employment. When child care capacity is limited, workforce participation is directly impacted.

Kiddie Academy of Harrisburg, which opened in August 2024, is licensed to serve 150 children and has experienced strong enrollment growth, increasing from 57 students to 140 within two years. Securing permanent ownership of the facility ensures that this Harrisburg child care center can continue providing long-term stability for families while supporting workforce participation for employers across the Capital Region.

The $4,632,000 project was structured with SBA 504 financing facilitated by CREDC in partnership with Seedcopa and permanent financing provided by LINKBANK. This collaborative structure supports business sustainability while reinforcing critical workforce infrastructure in the Capital Region.

CREDC remains committed to advancing investments that strengthen the region’s economic foundation, including projects that expand access to child care in Harrisburg and support working families.
