We are excited to share the results of the 2023 Statewide Local Share Account (LSA) Grant applications. During the Commonwealth Financing Authority meeting on October 22, 2024, the awarded projects were officially announced.
The demand for funding in 2023 was immense, with over 3,000 applications submitted, totaling approximately $1.3 billion in requested funds. However, with limited resources available, less than 30% of the requested amount was awarded across the state.
Despite the fierce competition, CREDC is proud to have supported 13 nonprofit organizations through the application process. Out of these, seven organizations successfully secured grant funding in this round. Below are the recipients and their awarded project details:
- Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region – Passenger Van Project: $57,897
- Central Pennsylvania Food Bank – Generator Project: $550,000
- Greenlight Operation – Vehicle Project: $148,255
- PA STEAM Academy – Cafeteria Project: $250,000
- PA Association for the Blind – Vision Screening Project (Statewide): $375,000
- Roller Nation – Community Complex Project: $70,527
- Scottish Rite – Phase 2 Project: $100,000
In total, these seven projects represent a combined funding award of $1,551,679.
We congratulate each of these organizations and look forward to supporting them as they bring their projects to life. These awards reflect the hard work and dedication of our nonprofit community, and we are honored to play a role in helping them achieve their goals.
