The money from the grant was used to add 3 additional floors on top of the existing Children’s Hospital for additional beds will reduce the capacity challenge and provide improved access to needed patient care for the population we serve in the community. The Children’s Hospital operates at near capacity much of the time resulting in extended waits for admits, and overcrowding in the Emergency Room, the additional facility space will help to reduce wait times and accommodate for patients. CREDC’s role is this project of being the certified EDO, grantee and administrator helped guide this project seamlessly to completion of the building in October of 2020.
