Wohlsen Adds New Teammates

Due to continued growth in the Central Pennsylvania region, Wohlsen Construction Company is pleased to announce the addition of three new superintendents to the Wohlsen team. These construction professionals will be on site full-time, leading the project teams on Wohlsen’s recently awarded projects.

Archie E. McConnell of Quarryville, PA, returns to Wohlsen as a superintendent for Lycoming College’s new Gateway Building. With over 41 years of experience in the construction industry, he will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of Wohlsen’s projects. McConnel, who began his career as a carpenter, brings his hands-on experience to this leadership role, having previously lead several successful projects in a variety of markets for healthcare, educational, and commercial clients. He was previously awarded the Herman F. Wohlsen Award for his outstanding field leadership.

Bradley M. Butt from Delta, PA, joins the team as superintendent for the Oak Hills Development project, continuing his fourteen-year-long career in the construction industry. Starting as a laborer, Butt gained experience through his ABC Carpentry Apprenticeship, and quickly assumed leadership roles on projects as a superintendent. Butt has managed projects ranging from $10,000 to $110,000,000 with crews of up to 400 workers, bringing valuable managerial and technical experience to the project’s team. In his role, Butt will initiate and monitor actions needed to optimize performance and assure on-time delivery of his projects while enforcing Wohlsen’s quality and safety standards.

Also joining the team is Timothy K. Boos of Millersville, PA, who will serve as the superintendent on the Wilbur Chocolate Building. With over three decades of experience in the construction industry, Boos has previously served as a regional construction manager and director of operations. His experience, leadership skills, and technical knowledge will enable him to successfully lead and direct the efforts in the field, solve unforeseen problems, and maintain the quality and safety standards of Wohlsen. He earned his Architectural Engineering degree from Willow Street Vo-Tech and is Healthcare Construction Certified by the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE).
