abc27 News breaks ground for a new three million dollar expanded office space and news production studio on June 14, 2018.

WHTM-TV, the local ABC affiliated station owned by Nexstar Broadcasting, Inc. serving Harrisburg, Lancaster, York and Lebanon (DMA 45), broke ground today for its expanded office space and new production studio.

Nexstar Broadcasting, Inc. executives, abc27 News executives, abc27 News anchors and staff and local dignitaries, as well as representatives from our construction partners including Murry Associates Architects, P.C., Electech Contracting, Alexander Building Construction LLC, HB McClure and H. Edward Black and Associated, Ltd. were in attendance.

The  three million dollar investment project will completely upgrade all aspects of the abc27’s newsroom and technical infrastructure. The new abc27 News studios are expected to launch later this fall and will feature the latest production resources and equipment including high definition cameras, advanced weather technology and modern on-air graphics, as well as other enhancements aimed at improving viewers’ overall experience and engagement.
