WHTM abc27 LAUNCHES NEW “getTV” ON CHANNEL 27.3

HARRISBURG, PA – February 1, 2016 – WHTM abc27 announced today that is has launched a new digital subchannel on Channel 27 called getTV.
getTV is a digital multicast television network dedicated to showcasing Hollywood’s legendary movies and TV series and is available over the air and on local cable systems. Since its debut in February 2014, getTV has been taking viewers back to the Golden Age of cinema with its classic limited classic variety and western series, as well as children’s programming. getTV is owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment.
“abc27 is pleased to launch the legendary classic movie and television entertainment showcased on getTV which includes a library of over 3,500 classic films,” said Joe Lewin, General Manager. “We are very focused on providing high-quality, unique programming that our viewers want and deserve.”
getTV replaces the abc27 Forecast Center 24/7 on 27.3.

For more than 60 years, WHTM-TV, the local ABC affiliate, has set the standard for television excellence in Central Pennsylvania. WHTM three stations through multicasting. WHTM broadcasts five and a half hours of news a day on weekdays and six and a half hours over the weekend.
