Tricia (Trish) Heisey from Belco Community Credit Union was named a co-chair of the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC’s Education & Business Partnership (EBP) Committee, which supports and advances collaborative initiatives and relationships with community partners to connect education and business to promote lifelong learning. The Committee monitors local, state, and federal education and workforce legislative issues, as well as works with the Pennsylvania House and Senate Education Committees on various education initiatives.
“Trish is a visionary with a deep passion for connecting the business and education industries together,” shares Taylour Trostle, Government Relations Director for the Chamber & CREDC. “We’re so excited to have Trish step up as a co-chair and lead this committee with her enthusiasm for collaboration between education and workforce.”
Tricia Heisey is the Business Development and Financial Education Representative for Belco Community Credit Union. As an employee of Belco for more than 38 years, she works closely with their Valued Business Partners and is passionate about teaching financial education and helping people achieve their financial goals. She also invests her time teaching these everyday life skills to our local youth so they can grow up to become financially responsible adults. Tricia’s vast network of people, businesses, and community give her the platform she needs to not only do her job, but also to make a professional and personal impact on everyone she meets.
“I have been a member of the Education Business Partnership committee for several years. This committee is a perfect fit for my role in business development and financial education at Belco Community Credit Union,” explains Trish Heisey. “Throughout the years, I have had the privilege to meet, build relationships and collaborate with so many wonderful educators, businesses and non-profit organizations. As a newly appointed co-chair for this committee, I want to continue to build on these collaborative relationships as well as to provide leadership and support. I also want to focus on the committee’s initiatives and expand our efforts to bridge the gap between schools and businesses and help students transition from education to careers. Preparing and educating students for career and college success is key. I am truly honored to serve in this new role and look forward to working alongside Danielle Martin from Temple University and Taylour Trostle, Government Relations Director and Chamber Staff Liaison.”
Tricia works with many local school districts, chambers of commerce, and local non-profit organizations.
