The Women of Color Network, Inc. Celebrates Their One Year Anniversary Hosting an Open House

HARRISBURG (October 15, 2015) –  The Women of Color Network, Inc. is celebrating its one year anniversary advocating for the lives of women and families in communities of color.  To commemorate this event, the organization will be hosting an open house, along with a ribbon cutting ceremony, held in conjunction with the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC on Friday, October 16th at Startup Harrisburg, located at 1519 North Third Street, Harrisburg.  The open house will be held from 4-6pm; the ribbon cutting will take place at 5pm.

 

The Women of Color Network, Inc. is a national grassroots advocacy organization that focuses on addressing the unique challenges facing women of color advocates and activists within the violence against women movement. WOCN provides and enhances leadership capacity and resources that promote the activities of women of color advocates and activists within the Sovereign Nations, the United States and U.S. Territories to eliminate violence against women and families.  For more information about the organization, please visit www.wocninc.org.
