The Millworks is pleased to announce the acquisition of Lance Smith as Executive Chef of its restaurant. Originally from the Harrisburg area, Smith returns to head the newly established premier food destination in the city’s historic Midtown District.
He resided in Dallas, Texas for ten years and had the opportunity to work with “Smoke” owner Chef Tim Byers, a James Beard Award winner nationally acclaimed for his expertise in wood fired cooking and smoking.
Smith brings this experience with him to The Millworks. He has added multiple smoked dishes to the menu and will continue to enhance the seasonal offerings to reflect his passion for food and fresh, local ingredients.
The Millworks includes 23 artists studios where 35 artists are working, three galleries, an open-air biergarten that seats 70, a full service bar, live music, and a 150-seat restaurant.
It is open Monday through Thursday 4:00pm – 12:00am; Friday 4:00pm – 1:00am; Saturday 10:00am – 1:00am; and Sunday 10:00am – 10:00pm, serving brunch on both Saturdays and Sundays.
Mission: To create a regional destination that showcases Central Pennsylvania’s wonderful artistic talents as well as the region’s bountiful, sustainable agriculture.
