Skelly and Loy Welcomes Administrative Assistant, Technical Services Manager, Environmental Intern

Ms. Cathy Stakem is an Administrative Assistant in Skelly and Loy’s Technical Services Group. Working collaboratively with each service group, Ms. Stakem’s responsibilities include proofreading, editing, and formatting all documents, and then processing and finalizing them for

Ms. Stakem has 20 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant, having worked at a geotechnical construction company and an environmental engineering and consulting firm in the past.

Skelly and Loy is pleased to announce the promotion of Brad Reese to Technical Services Manager.

Mr. Reese has more than 15 years of experience in the engineering and
environmental consulting profession in the public and private sectors. He performs a variety of roles for Skelly and Loy, including Geographic Information Systems (GIS) management and analysis; computer-aided design (CAD); and management and administration of the IT systems in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Morgantown, West Virginia offices. He is proficient in ESRI and Bentley Systems software and has significant experience in mapping production and GIS data analysis. He also supervises, monitors, and evaluates work performed by junior GIS staff to ensure that organization standards and quality assurance are met. Mr. Reese is experienced in website design and excels in document control, field survey logistics, and data collection. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Planning from the University of Pittsburgh with a Minor in Architectural Studies.

Mr. Arash Afghahi joined Skelly and Loy as an Intern in our environmental services group. He is performing stream restoration, stormwater management, hydrologic analysis, and permit renewals for a variety of projects, including the Hanover School Campus Stormwater Management Plan.

Mr. Afghahi earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography and Environmental Planning from Towson University.
