Since inception, Schaedler Yesco has understood the importance of supporting the communities that sustain its business. Whether extending credit or supporting local initiatives, the company has had its heart at the center of all it does since the very early days.
In 1950 founder, Andrew Schaedler, began giving money to local college-bound students. After his passing, the Andrew C. Schaedler Scholarship Foundation was officially formed in 1969. In addition to supporting college students, the company also invests in the future of the electrical and construction industry offering training, discounted tool programs and participation in high school and trade school scholarship programs.
“Great Grandad felt strongly that education was critical to building a strong next generation,” shared Vice President, Greg Schaedler. “And we do too.”
The company has also given generously to support what matters to their team, including local theatre and cultural programs, health-based groups, scouts, sports and outreach and first responders.
“Supporting our communities is important to Schaedler Yesco and the Schaedler family,” explained Company Culture and Employee Engagement Specialist, Christine Schaedler Notarfrancesco. “Our team members spend a big part of the day with Schaedler Yesco,” Notarfrancesco said, “and their heart is always with their family and their community. We’re proud to support the groups and initiatives that matter to them.”
In celebration of the company’s 95th anniversary, the company has taken charitable giving to an even higher level. Each month, focus and support are given to a different charitable organization that was chosen by team members. Charities include American Heart Association, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Make-A-Wish, Girls on the Run, Autism Speaks, Children’s Miracle Network, National Alliance on Mental Illness, and organizations that support animals, homelessness and overall wellness.
A silent auction is being planned to coincide with the company’s 95th Anniversary celebration on September 27, 2019. Proceeds will benefit the Children’s Miracle Network.
