Brett H. Tennis, CPA has joined Saxton & Stump as Vice President of Strategic Alliances to help continue the growth of the firm’s affiliate companies and partners. He will also work alongside the business development team to collaborate with the firm’s attorneys to achieve the highest level of client service. Tennis is a well-known business leader who recently retired from Walz Group, a Lancaster-based accounting firm.
“Brett’s exceptional business sense and his wealth of experience working with central Pennsylvania business leaders makes him a great addition to our team,” said CEO James W. Saxton. “Brett will support our continued focus on providing innovative solutions for our business clients.”
Saxton & Stump has created separate entities and formed strategic partnerships to enhance the firm’s ability to support clients. These companies provide a variety of comprehensive professional services including traditional and digital marketing, human resources, information technology, governance, risk management and compliance. The alliances allow the firm to provide an innovative level of service to their clients that goes beyond traditional legal solutions and drives real business results for clients. Tennis will help direct the growth of each affiliate by driving critical initiatives, developing resources and building new capabilities. In that capacity, he will work closely with Saxton & Stump’s attorneys and legal professionals as well as the leadership of each strategic partner.
“As I considered my future after retirement from Walz Group, I realized that engaging my mind and utilizing my experience was still very much a passion of mine,” said Tennis. “I am fortunate to have an established relationship with Saxton & Stump, and together we developed a new role where I can continue to use my talents to support the firm and its affiliates.”
At the Walz Group, Tennis was instrumental in helping the group become one of the leading business accounting firms in the region, serving the live entertainment, construction, manufacturing, professional services and non-profit industries. During his 12-year tenure as president, he drove significant investment in the firm’s infrastructure including technology, facilities and staffing, sparking continual business growth for the group over the last decade. Before announcing his retirement, Tennis led their business development and quality assurance teams.
