Saxton & Stump is pleased to announce the promotion of two business professionals as the firm continues to enhance and grow its internal operation services. David M. Garrett now serves as Chief Operating Officer and Donna J. Mathiot as Controller.

Garrett, a CPA with more than 35 years of operations experience, joined the firm in 2018 as controller and provided crucial support to the firm and its affiliated businesses in the form of accounting and business management. As COO, he oversees finance, information technology, human resources, facilities and works closely with firm leadership on key initiatives.
Mathiot, an accounting professional with decades of experience, joined the firm in 2019 as an accountant to support the firm’s day-to-day operations. As controller of the finance department, she oversees client invoicing, processing payables, insurance, banking, financial reporting and performs analyses.
Continued growth for the law firm
Saxton & Stump has added nine attorneys in addition to six business professionals and formed four new practice areas in Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights, Information Privacy and Cybersecurity, Regulatory and Government Affairs and Trucking and Commercial Transportation. Based on their strategic plan for 2020, the firm plans to continue to expand its current team of lawyers and professionals, focusing on bringing additional resources to support client needs in these challenging times.
