Saxton & Stump is pleased to announce that attorneys Emily M. Bell and Jonathan E. Dalziel, both natives of Lancaster County, have joined the firm. Bell and Dalziel bring additional skill and momentum to Saxton & Stump’s well-recognized litigation team.
Saxton & Stump’s team of trial-tested litigators handle routine and complex cases across state and federal courts, supported by a unique in-house trial technology team and the insight of Hon. Lawrence F. Stengel (Ret.) and Hon. Robert A. Graci (Ret.) gained from years on the bench.
Bell focuses her practice in internal investigations and healthcare litigation. She has a background in white collar defense and has experience with investigators, law enforcement officials and other agencies in the identification, collection and evaluation of evidence. As part of her practice, she represents doctors, hospitals and healthcare professionals in medical malpractice cases and works with individuals and corporations on risk management assessments, event investigations and policy analysis.
After receiving her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2008, Bell served as a law clerk to the Hon. Lawrence F. Stengel (Ret.) at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, who now leads Saxton & Stump’s Internal Investigations practice. In addition to her experience as an attorney, Bell was previously a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM)® and has attended births and performed prenatal and postpartum exams both in Pennsylvania and in the Philippines.
Dalziel focuses his practice in healthcare and commercial litigation. He represents doctors, hospitals, and healthcare providers in medical professional liability cases. Dalziel also utilizes his litigation experience to represent business owners and corporate entities in his commercial litigation practice.
Most recently, Dalziel was an associate at Willman and Silvaggio LLP in Pittsburgh, PA where he focused his practice on complex toxic tort and general liability cases. Dalziel earned his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law in 2017. During his time at Duquesne, he was an active member of the Law School’s Trial Advocacy team and interned at the Public Defender’s Office of Allegheny County in the juvenile division.
Continued Growth for the Law Firm
Saxton & Stump has added 14 attorneys in addition to 10 business professionals and five major practice areas since January. The addition of two additional litigation attorneys aligns with the firm’s aggressive and targeted strategic plan for 2019. Saxton & Stump also continues to grow its geographic footprint. In the third quarter, the firm’s Harrisburg office tripled in size and the Lancaster office expanded by about 30 percent. Construction has recently begun to double the size of the Malvern location.
