RLS Construction Group Receives Option Year Two of a Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC), to continue providing construction services at the James E Van Zandt VA Medical Center, in Altoona

Central Pennsylvania-based RLS Construction Group has recently received notice from the Department of Veterans affairs for Option Year Two of a Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC), to continue providing construction services at the James E Van Zandt VA Medical Center, in Altoona, PA. RLS has completed several projects at the medical center under the initial term of this contract.
“We have a great relationship with the folks at the Altoona VA,” said Robert Schopfer, President and CEO for RLS Construction Group. “It is an honor to work on these facilities that serve our veterans, and we look forward to continuing our work to help improve the medical center, so everyone is receiving the best possible care.”
Under this contract, RLS is one of the contractors who will provide pricing for a variety of construction projects throughout the medical center campus, ranging from maintenance and repairs, to renovation and new construction. During the initial contract term RLS has completed several projects for the VA, including a new decontamination shower facility, and renovations to the 7th floor public spaces, 6th floor nurse call system, and the floor plan in Building #2 to create a more people-friendly circulation pattern throughout the building.
