RETTEW, an engineering and consulting firm based in Central Pennsylvania, this week hosted an open house at its recently expanded safety training center.
Guests could participate in hands-on fire extinguisher training to receive an official training certificate, be suspended with fall protection equipment while being rescued and participate in other interactive learning stations. Demonstrations included confined space entry, fall protection rescue education and chemical spill response. More than 200 people attended the event from around the mid-Atlantic region.
“Safety training is something that nearly every business needs to participate in, whether its basic fire safety and first aid, to complex full-day compliance sessions,” said Luke Lazar, safety director. “Many midstate, statewide and national companies come to us for our trainings, which are known for dynamic interactions and result in the right hands-on experience.”
The training center, on Richard Lane in Mechanicsburg, offers regular training classes as well as on-site trainings throughout the region. The team also provides safety consulting to keep companies in a variety of industries in compliance with regulations.
