RETTEW announces newest shareholders

RETTEW is pleased to announce the addition of eight new shareholders to its ownership ranks.


“As our business continues to grow, we need the right people to help us make decisions for the future,” said Mark Lauriello, RETTEW’s president. “Each of these individuals exemplifies the strong work ethic, leadership qualities and team building attitude to help bring our firm to the next level.”


RETTEW selects shareholders on the basis of contributions to the firm’s growth and profitability, embracing entrepreneurialism and living out the firm’s brand and core values. Many of these shareholders were mentored through RETTEW’s associate’s program.


Jeffrey Case

With the firm since 2011, Case is RETTEW’s director of transportation engineering working mainly from the firm’s Lancaster, Pa. office. With nearly 30 years of engineering and project management experience, he has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the United States Coast Guard Academy. Case is a licensed professional engineer as well as a member of the American Society of Highway Engineers and the American Society of Civil Engineers. He volunteers as a structural engineer for the Pennsylvania Federal Emergency Management search and rescue team, as a pilot for the Civil Air Patrol, and serves on the Building Committee for the nonprofit Canine Partners for Life. Case resides in Lower Paxton Township, Dauphin County.


John Doughty

Director of RETTEW’s survey group, Doughty has more than 35 years of experience in the surveying field. He works from the firm’s Mechanicsburg, Pa. office, and has an associate’s degree in applied science land surveying from Muskingum Area Technical College. Doughty is a licensed land surveyor in five states and has been with RETTEW since 2011. Residing in Hedgesville, Berkeley County, West Virginia, Doughty has been regularly involved in professional surveying associations.


Matthew King

King’s responsibilities as a client account manager at RETTEW follow his more than 20 years of experience in environmental investigations and commercial drilling. He has a bachelor’s degree in environmental resource management from The Pennsylvania State University and works from the firm’s Mechanicsburg, Pa. office. With RETTEW since 2011, King resides in Latimore Township, Adams County. He is a director for the York Adams Elementary Football League, and an assistant little league coach for Bermudian Baseball.


Luke Lazar

Lazar leads RETTEW’s safety consulting group in a director role, with more than 20 years of experience in providing safety education and consulting, as well as industrial hygiene services. Working from the firm’s Mechanicsburg, Pa. office, he has a bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health management from Millersville University. Lazar hold numerous safety certifications, including his designation as a board certified safety professional and as an authorized construction industry outreach trainer. Lazar serves on the Pennsylvania Governor’s Occupational Safety and Health Conference advisory committee, is a member of the safety advisory committee for the Marcellus Shale Coalition, and is active with the American Society of Safety Engineers. With RETTEW since 2012, Lazar resides in Warrington Township, York County.


Scott MacNair

MacNair is part of RETTEW’s executive team as the chief financial officer. He brings 20 years of experience leading accounting operations to the role, which he filled beginning in 2013. Working from RETTEW’s headquarters in Lancaster, Pa. he holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Elizabethtown College. MacNair resides in Warwick Township, Lancaster County, and is on the board of the Construction Financial Management Association and a member of several industry associations. He also serves with the local Boy Scouts.


Anthony Mazzatesta

A senior program manager on RETTEW’s client account management team, Mazzatesta began his career at RETTEW in 2010 with 12 years of prior experience in engineering and management. Working from the Canton, Ohio office, he has a master’s degree in material science and engineering from Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor’s degree in materials engineering from Wilkes University. Residing in Kulpmont Borough, Northumberland County, Pa., Mazzatesta is involved in several community endeavors, including serving as vice president of the Mount Carmel Area School Board, the youth director of the Knights of Columbus Chapter No. 4281, and a lector at Holy Angels Parish in Kulpmont.


Jason Wert

Wert joined the firm in 2012 as a senior technical engineer in RETTEW’s Energy and Environmental Engineering group. He has more than 20 years of experience working in energy and engineering, and holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural and biological engineering from The Pennsylvania State University. Wert maintains his memberships in several environmental associations, serving as vice chairman of the Biosolids Committee of the Pennsylvania Water Environment Association and on the National Biosolids and Residuals Committee of the Water Environment Federation. A registered professional engineer as well as a board certified environmental engineer, Wert works throughout the United States and from RETTEW’s Williamsport, Pa. office. He resides in Centre Hall, Centre County, and serves his community as both the advancement chair for Troop No. 20 of the Juniata Valley Council of Boy Scouts of America, as well as an officer of The Free and Accepted Masons Old Fort Lodge No. 537.


Craig West

Working from the firm’s Mechanicsburg, Pa. office, West began his career at RETTEW in 2003. He is a group manager in RETTEW’s survey division, and has more than 20 years of experience in the field. West has a certificate in surveying and civil drafting from Harrisburg Area Community College. He resides in Huntington Township, Adams County, and maintains a membership in the New York Society of Professional Surveyors.


These eight new shareholders join RETTEW’s current 18 shareholders. RETTEW is led by a board of directors, and ownership is divided between shareholders and employees as part of an Employee Stock Ownership Plan.
