Pennsylvania Family Support Alliance’s Free Mandated Reporter Training
On: September 27, 2016 Filed Under: Member News
Some volunteers in youth serving organizations are now required to report when they have reasonable cause to suspect child abuse. Sometimes they are required to report outside of their role as a volunteer. Although volunteers are not required to be trained on their role sand responsibilities, they could face fines and jail time for failing to report suspected child abuse.
Support your volunteers’ commitment to children and by providing them with FREE onsite training delivered by PA’s leader in mandated reporter training- Pennsylvania Family Support Alliance (PFSA). PFSA believes that face-to-face training is key for organizations and individuals that have never had training and are unfamiliar with the subject matter.
Our free onsite training includes:
- Training content delivered by PA Child Welfare experts who can provide accurate answers to participants’ questions.
- High quality training materials and resources.
- Curriculum approved by the Departments of Education, Human Services and State (Meets training requirements under Acts 31, 48 and 126).
- Ongoing support and technical assistance for those who have attended PFSA’s acclaimed training. After training has been completed, PFSA will be there to answer your questions and support your efforts in protecting kids.
Help your volunteers (and staff) protect PA’s kids and protect your organization. Call us at 800-448-4906 or visit our website to find out more and to schedule FREE onsite training at a time and date that works for you.
Training the people in your organization who are mandated reporters is a risk management issue and PFSA is beside you for the long haul.
PFSA offers training on-site for groups of 10 people to 50 people. An on-site training must be set up by an organization and would be held at the organization’s office or a site of their choice. The on-site training is three hours and we ask that the trainer have access to the room one hour prior to the scheduled start time. Your organization provides us with a group of people to train, a training location, and minimal AV equipment. We provide you with a trainer and training materials.
