July 16, 2015, Enola, PA: The Capital Region Partnership for Career Development (PCD) announced today that Stephanie Kratzer, representative from Pennsy Supply, presented a $2,500.00 gift to the organization at its July 15, 2015 Advisory Council Meeting. Ms. Kratzer is the Human Resources Manager for the Central Region of Pennsy Supply. She is an active member of the PCD Advisory Council.
Pennsy Supply is the leading manufacturer of aggregate, sand, asphalt and concrete throughout the North and Central Regions of Pennsylvania providing materials for commercial construction, infrastructure development and residential building. Serving the region for more than 90 years, Pennsy Supply operates over 16 aggregate quarries, 2 underground mines, 5 stone rail depots, 2 sand dredging operations, 12 asphalt plants and 6 ready mix concrete plants.
“Pennsy Supply has defined itself as a leader and model for Career and Workforce Development, and a dynamic and passionate partner for PCD,” commented PCD Executive Director Lynda Morris. “They have not only supported us financially with their generous gifts, but they have played an important role in the organization by creating and partnering with us in student and educator Career Exploration Programs. Those Career Exploration programs are specifically dedicated to increasing awareness about the many and varied career opportunities in the Construction Industry that are so very critical for Pennsylvania. They have demonstrated to mid-state students and educators that in an organization as large and comprehensive as Pennsy Supply, there are many career options in numerous fields, from Equipment Operators to Logistics, from Drivers to HR Professionals and the range doesn’t stop there,” continued Ms. Morris. “But, the thing that I find most remarkable about Pennsy is the feeling of family that permeates throughout the organization. They foster a culture of collaboration and humanity that has made me proud to say that we partner with this wonderful organization. We are truly thankful for their continued support of our programs and for the funding that is necessary for us to continue to do this important work for our students. ”
Barry Duffy, General Manager of Pennsy Supply, Central Region expressed his satisfaction with their company’s participation with PCD and their recent fiscal contribution. “We are excited to be a part of the PCD. Not only does this program positively impact the growth of the region as a whole, but as Pennsy Supply creates a vision for its future in central Pennsylvania, we recognize the importance of having a closer involvement with the leaders of tomorrow.”
