HARRISBURG (May 23, 2016) – The Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC (Chamber & CREDC) will hold the 5th Annual Ladies Who Lead Half-Day Conference on Thursday, June 9th, 11a.m. – 4p.m., at the Best Western Premier – The Central Hotel & Conference Center (800 East Park Drive, Harrisburg).

Leadership is about influence, not about position. Ladies Who Lead is a half day conference that will encourage women in any career to lead from where they are. The event features a luncheon, keynote presentation, breakout sessions, Ladies Who Lead Marketplace with exhibitors and a Relaxation Area.  Attendees will have the opportunity to network and make new connections with over 200 business women from the region.

Penn State Lady Lion Basketball Team Head Coach, Coquese Washington, will be the event’s featured keynote speaker. Coach Washington will discuss how she defines leadership and how she approaches being a leader in her many roles – Head Coach for Penn State women’s basketball, President of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Board of Directors, former professional basketball player in the WNBA, outstanding member of her community, and a working mother.

Breakout sessions include:

“Turn your Thumb Green: Container Gardening Secrets”
Presented by:  Erica Shaffer, Gardening Guru, Highland Gardens
During this breakout session, discover simple ways that you can de-stress using gardening techniques to positively influence your life. Erica’s presentation will include choosing a pot, soil, and fertilizer, watering, plant selection and care.

“What’s Your Time Horizon? A Way to Think About Leadership”
Presented by:  Kathleen Pavelko, President & CEO, WITF
