Saxton & Stump attorney Erik M. Hume has been reelected as vice chair of the Real Property Division for the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section. His new term began on May 8.
The reelection marks Erik’s second one-year term as vice chair. First elected in May 2019, Erik is once again responsible for supervising and directing the work of the Real Property Division, which includes legislative and professional development initiatives as well as serving on the section’s Executive Committee.
The Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section, which is the largest section of the PBA, brings together practitioners with varying levels of experience throughout Pennsylvania and develops their knowledge of respective areas of law through collaboration and mentorship among its members.
Previously within the position, Erik gave testimony at the State Capitol Building in Harrisburg on November 20, 2019 on behalf of the PBA before the Pennsylvania Senate Urban Affairs and Housing Committees. He presented informational background about common interest ownership communities (CIOCs) and recommended the approval of Senate Bill 802, which would require county planning agencies to collect information about existing CIOCs.
