New providers at Holy Spirit-A Geisinger Affiliate

CAMP HILL – Seven providers have recently joined Holy Spirit–A Geisinger Affiliate.

Amit Agarwal, M.D., has joined Holy Spirit’s Department of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Agarwal recently completed a fellowship in Pulmonary Diseases at Maimonides Medical Center in New York, where he previously completed a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine and a residency in Internal Medicine. Board certified in Internal Medicine and Critical Care Medicine, he is a graduate of K.J. Somaiya Medical College at the University of Mumbai, India. Yelena Bogdan, M.D., has joined Holy Spirit Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Bogdan graduated from the Stony Brook School of Medicine in Stony Brook, N.Y., and completed an orthopaedic trauma fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. She completed her residency at Boston Medical Center, where she was administrative chief resident from 2014 to 2015. Dr. Bogdan specializes in caring for patients with musculoskeletal injuries and complex fractures. She sees patients at 4230 Crums Mill Rd., Harrisburg, and within Spirit Urgent Care at 431 N. 21st St., Camp Hill. Beginning in December, she will also see patients at 550 N. 12th St., Lemoyne. Eliette Bouie, PA-C, has joined Holy Spirit’s Nutrition, Weight Management and Bariatric Surgery Services. Bouie has 25 years of experience in primary care, most recently with the Department of Veterans Affairs in Tucson, Ariz. A graduate of the University of California-Davis, she has extensive experience in nutrition, health promotion and disease prevention, and the connection between spiritual, mental, and physical fitness. Bouie retired from the U.S. Armed Forces in 2006 after 32 years of service, having achieved the rank of Major. She is fluent in both English and Spanish. Matthew Meyer, M.D., has joined Holy Spirit Family Medicine–Carlisle. Dr. Meyer is a graduate of Temple University School of Medicine, and he completed a residency in Internal Medicine at UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh. He is board certified in Internal Medicine. Most recently, Dr. Meyer served patients at UPMC Bedford Internal Medicine. He sees patients at the Holy Spirit Carlisle Center, 1211 Forge Rd., Carlisle. Donny Peter-Fritts, M.D., has joined Holy Spirit Family Medicine–Progress. Most recently, Dr. Peter-Fritts served patients of the W.J.B. Dorn Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Columbia, S.C., as a lead physician at a primary care clinic. While there, he also served on the VA’s Opioid Safety Initiative Committee and co-chaired the Controlled Substances Committee. Additionally, he was an assistant professor at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and served as the VA Ambulatory Site Director for its internal medicine residency program. Board certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Peter-Fritts is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center College of Medicine. He sees patients at 3601 N. Progress Ave., Harrisburg. Christine Tucker, CRNP, has joined Holy Spirit Endocrinology. Tucker recently completed the nurse practitioner program at Misericordia University. Tucker has also served at First Hospital, Kingston, as a registered nurse since 2012. While completing the clinical rotation portion of her nurse practitioner training, Tucker studied under nurse practitioners at Geisinger CareWorks Urgent Care and Geisinger Medical Center. Amy Ziegler, MSN, FNP, has joined Holy Spirit Family Medicine–Camp Hill. Previously, Ziegler served as a nurse for two local schools, and served Holy Spirit Hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) for two years. Ziegler completed the family nurse practitioner master’s program at Widener University and earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Vermont.
