Carroll Valley, PA, July 12, 2016 – Murray Associates Architects celebrated the Groundbreaking of Carroll Valley’s new Community and Educational Complex. The 11,000 gsf facility will replace the Borough’s current building which was originally constructed as a 1,500gsf “Snack Shack” for the now defunct Charnita Development.
The design includes: borough administrative offices, a new police department, a community meeting room and a Branch of the Adams County Library System. Outdoor amenities to accommodate education sports and recreational activities are also included in the project.
According to Dave Hazlett, the Borough Manager, “Murray Associates has worked hard to put forth a building design that will meet our current and future community needs, they modified it countless times to incorporate input from the community, our own staff and officials. The final product is the result of a lot of collaboration and compromise.”
Benedict Dubbs, Principal of Murray Associates Architects, was extremely pleased to assist the Borough in providing a space that will benefit the entire Carroll Valley Community.
Carroll Valley Borough is located near Fairfield PA, in the southwest corner of Adams County and has a population of more than 5,500. The borough enjoys unusual beauty, with a combination of unspoiled farm and orchard land, woods, meadows, lakes and mountain slopes. For more information, visit www.carrollvalley.org.
