M&T Bank Gifts $142,500 in Year-End Donations to Dauphin and Cumberland County Not-for-Profit Organizations

M&T Bank presented 19 not-for-profit organizations with $142,500 in holiday donations at its annual Give Thanks event. This year’s event celebrated those working to improve the quality of life throughout Dauphin and Cumberland counties.

Honorees included Bethesda Mission, Boys & Girls Club of Harrisburg, Downtown Daily Bread/Pine Street Presbyterian Church, Family Promise of Harrisburg Capital Region, Hamilton Health Center, Joshua Group, Maranatha – Carlisle, New Hope Ministries, Project Share, Safe Harbour, Shalom House, The Nativity School of Harrisburg, The Salvation Army – Carlisle, The Salvation Army – Harrisburg, United Way of Carlisle & Cumberland County, United Way of the Capital Region, YMCA – Camp Curtin, YWCA Carlisle and YWCA Harrisburg.

Each organization received $7,500.

“Our local not-for-profit organizations have put their efforts in overdrive to deliver critical services to residents impacted by the adverse effects of the pandemic,” said Nora Habig, M&T’s Regional President, Central and Western PA. “Dauphin and Cumberland counties are tremendous places to live, work and invest, and we remain committed to helping these deserving organizations advance their missions and make a meaningful impact.”

In 2020, M&T Bank contributed nearly $35 million to not-for-profits throughout its footprint. Grounded in the bank’s purpose to make a difference in people’s lives, the M&T Charitable Foundation strives to strengthen communities by providing support for a diverse range of civic, cultural, health and human service organizations through grants, employee volunteerism and in-kind services.
