Metro Bank Names Zachary Khuri as Market President of Harrisburg Region

HARRISBURG, Pa. (June 24, 2015) — Metro Bank, subsidiary of Metro Bancorp Inc. (NASDAQ: METR), has announced that Zachary Khuri has been promoted to senior vice president and market president of its Harrisburg region.

In his position, Khuri will oversee the overall development of the Bank’s commercial lending activities throughout the Harrisburg region which is comprised of Dauphin and Cumberland counties.


He joined Metro Bank in 2005 as a commercial credit analyst, after which he was quickly identified and placed into the Bank’s management training program for future leaders. He was promoted to account manager in 2007 and within a few months promoted again to commercial loan officer. In 2009, he became an associate vice president. Khuri most recently served as regional vice president for the Bank’s Harrisburg West Shore region.

A resident of Mechanicsburg, Khuri is an active member of the community. He currently serves on the board of directors of the United Methodist Home for Children, Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC, the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area and the Harrisburg Rugby Football Club. He also serves as treasurer for the United Methodist Home for Children and captain of the Harrisburg Rugby Football Club’s men’s team. He is a past board member of Harrisburg Young Professionals.


Khuri earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania and his M.B.A. from Pennsylvania State University. He is a recipient of the Central Penn Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 award.
