Metro Bank Names Christopher Bickel as Vice President of Commercial Real Estate

HARRISBURG, Pa. (July 13, 2015) — Metro Bank, subsidiary of Metro Bancorp Inc. (NASDAQ: METR), has announced that Christopher Bickel has been promoted to vice president of commercial real estate.

In his position, Bickel will concentrate primarily on commercial real estate loans and lines of credit.


He joined the Bank in 2014 as a vice president and commercial loan officer during which time he managed existing commercial and industrial relationships and identified and developed new opportunities throughout the Harrisburg region. Bickel has more than 10 years of banking experience.


“Chris brings more than a decade of commercial lending experience to his new role at Metro Bank,” noted Metro Bank Chief Lending Officer Adam Metz. “He is well known in the local commercial real estate community with an established reputation for results and we look forward to the contribution he will make on our real estate team.”


Earlier in his career, Bickel served as commercial loan officer at Mid Penn Bank. He also held similar roles at the Bancorp Bank and Commerce Bank (New Jersey).


A resident of West Hanover Township, Bickel is an active member of the community. He currently volunteers with Junior Achievement of South Central PA and the youth lacrosse programs for Central Dauphin and Hershey School Districts. Bickel earned his bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University.
