Members 1st names new Chief Financial Officer

Members 1st Federal Credit Union has announced that Eric Bush of Mechanicsburg has been named Chief Financial Officer as of October 1, 2019.

In this new role, Eric will ensure that Members 1st continues to have a strong financial infrastructure. He will oversee areas of operation including, but not limited to, asset/liability management, capital risk mitigation, financial research and reporting mechanisms, and numerous software systems.

Eric’s recent promotion comes as a result of the retirement of Members 1st’s previous CFO, Steve Murray, who served in the role for almost nine years. Eric has worked in the accounting and finance field for over 30 years, comprising 20 years of experience within the financial services and credit union industry. Prior to being named CFO, Eric was Members 1st’s Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis for nine years. In this role, he oversaw key elements of the credit union’s financial management program including financial planning, cost analysis/product profitability, product/project financial analysis, quality assurance, and product/project review.

Eric joined the credit union in 1988 as a staff accountant and has progressed his career through their finance division. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from The Pennsylvania State University. Eric is a certified Credit Union Investment Professional and a graduate of the Financial Managers School of Banking. In the community, Eric serves as a Board Member for the Eagle Foundation. He previously served as President of the Cumberland Valley Teener Baseball Association for nine years as well as President of the Monroe Little League Association.
