McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC attorneys Sarah Hyser-Staub and David Freed took part in the presentation “Lawyers in Libraries: Are You Eligible for an Expungement?” on Thursday February 25, 2021. The session was in partnership with MidPenn Legal Services, the Dauphin County Bar Association and the Dauphin County Library System.
Sarah and David, among other speakers, discussed the current state of Pennsylvania law on expungements, Clean Slate, Limited Access, juvenile records and pardons.

Sarah Hyser-Staub practices in the McNees Litigation and White Collar Defense and Internal Investigations Practice Groups. Sarah litigates white collar crime issues and complex commercial disputes. She defends public and private entities in civil rights cases, represents witnesses before the grand jury, conducts internal investigations, and provides guidance on internal corporate compliance. Sarah also represents public officials before the Pennsylvania State Ethics Commission.
David J. Freed practices in the McNees Litigation and White Collar Defense and Internal Investigations Practice Groups. David spent more than 23 years in public service and has focused his career on anticipating problems, understanding needs and finding solutions. From November 2017 to January 2021, he served as U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. In that role, he supervised all operations of the office, both civil and criminal.
