HARRISBURG – (February 11, 2016) – Local residents are invited to participate in a series of community conversations to discuss issues facing the Capital Region in the areas of health, education and income.

In February and March, United Way of the Capital Region will help facilitate more than 20 Community Conversations in Dauphin, Cumberland and Perry counties. Several sessions will be held around each focus area.

“The goal of these events is to garner community insight about these pressing issues,” said Rae Lynn Cox, spokesperson for United Way of the Capital Region. “This is a great opportunity for everyone – business and community leaders, places of worship, teachers, healthcare providers, clients and parents to share their insight and help plan a stronger future of our region.”

All conversation events will last approximately 90 minutes and will be moderated by Dering Consulting. Light refreshments will be provided. For dates, times and locations, and to register, visit uwcr.org or call Heidi Neuhaus at 717.724.4055.
