HARRISBURG – Purple Deck Media, Inc., Chambersburg, has been selected as a finalist for the 2015 Governor’s Impact Awards in the “Community Impact Award” category for its efforts in creating jobs and making a difference in Pennsylvania.

Purple Deck was recommended for consideration in the prestigious awards program by Pam Martin of Ben Franklin Technology PArtners, CNP.

Governor Tom Wolf will recognize Purple Deck and announce the winners of the Governor’s Impact Awards at a luncheon on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the Hershey Lodge in Hershey, PA. In addition to recognition at the luncheon, the company will appear in a special publication to be distributed at the event. Distribution after the Awards includes insertions into the Central Penn Business Journal and Lehigh Valley Business and distribution to all PREP regions throughout the state.

Purple Deck Media has made a profound impact on their community by utilizing their products to help promote area non-profit organizations and educate area students.  Purple Deck Media has provided its mobile tools and staff knowledge to many area non-profits for no charge in order to help the area organizations to grow and excel.  One of these organizations is the Franklin County 911 and Veteran’s Memorial Park.  Purple Deck Media designed and developed a mobile application for them to help promote the memorial and the United Churches of Chambersburg’s activities at the historic Letterkenny Chapel.  Upon the reveling of the app at the board meeting, Purple Deck Media co-founders explained their upcoming plans for 2015 to include a interactive mobile walking tour for the site so that visitors could walk the trail and be provided with educational information about the Veterans of Franklin County.

The company, which recently relocated to the Winebrenner Seminary Campus (formerly Scotland School for Veterans Children, is also developing emerging marketing technology for retail, manufacturing, defense, healthcare and many other verticals.
