The Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC has announced the retirement of Linda Goldstein, Vice President & COO, effective June 30, 2016.
Goldstein has served in the position since November of 2001, helping the organization to grow and evolve into a highly respected economic development corporation in Pennsylvania. Under her leadership, CREDC has obtained and packaged over $135 million in grants and loans, which when combined with participating private sector equity and bank financing, has resulted in projects with a total economic impact of over $450 million helping local businesses create and retain over 13,000 jobs.
“My 14 year experience with the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC has been an amazing ride which has enabled me to do the work that I love”, Goldstein said. “I am extremely proud of the success that we have had over the years in enhancing the economic vitality of the region, as well as the positive impact we have made throughout our community.”
A Harrisburg city resident since 1973, Goldstein noted that she is thankful for the opportunity to make a difference in the community in which she lives and one that she loves, where her children grew up, and where her friends and colleagues call home.
David Black, President & CEO remarked, “We have come a long way with Linda’s help and leadership. She’s championed a number of projects over the years, and her legacy will be the development of talented staff both with the organization now and working elsewhere in the region. We had very limited staff capacity here 14 years ago, and she has built a talented staff of economic developers. We have increased the capacity of our fiscal team and have developed dedicated talent throughout the whole organization.”
Goldstein informed Black, the Boards of the Chamber and CREDC, as well as the 14 member staff, that she will be working three days a week starting in January until she retires at the end of June.
