LeTort Trust Supports the YWCA of Greater Harrisburg and Week Without Violence Initiative

LeTort Trust, through their Atgooth Foundation, gave $5,000 in support of the YWCA of Greater Harrisburg. YWCA’s mission is to eliminate racism, empower women and promote peace. They work tirelessly to fulfill their mission by providing housing, violence intervention and prevention services, child development services, veteran services, and legal services for at-risk populations.

Part of LeTort’s donation will go towards the YWCA’s Week Without Violence initiative. The organization is raising money through this program to help raise awareness and end violence against people of color, women, and children.

In 2011, LeTort founded the Atgooth Foundation, a non-profit subsidiary, with the goal of being a catalyst for change in the communities they serve. Over the years, LeTort has donated 5% of annual profits to charitable organizations in the Central Pennsylvania market area.

“For more than 100 years the YWCA has helped some of the region’s most vulnerable and at-risk populations,” said Katie Clarke, President of LeTort Trust. “One of our primary goals is to be an organization that gives back to those who need it the most. We hope this donation shows that we, too, stand against racism, oppression, and injustice and we’re committed to making our community a better place.”
