LA TORRE COMMUNICATIONS EARNS TWO AWARDS FROM CENTRAL PA PUBLIC RELATIONS SOCIETY OF AMERICA

La Torre recognized for work with nonprofit food pantry, senior care trade association

La Torre Communications today announced the firm earned two prestigious awards for public relations excellence from the Central Pennsylvania chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

La Torre Communications received “Best Reputation/Brand Management” for its work with nonprofit food pantry Project SHARE during the pantry’s 30th anniversary year. In addition, the firm earned an honorable mention for its public affairs work with LeadingAge PA, an association of not-for-profit senior service providers.

“It’s very humbling to be honored by your peers, especially in an area so rich in public relations talent,” said firm founder David La Torre. “Our team here at La Torre Communications works hard every day to devise creative strategies that help our clients. I would like to thank Central PA PRSA for its recognition of that hard work and congratulate our fellow honorees.”

The reputation/brand management award recognizes the best use of a program designed to enhance, promote or improve the reputation of an organization with its publics, either proactively or in response to an issue, event or market occurrence. As Project SHARE prepared to celebrate its 30th year, the nonprofit food pantry enlisted the help of La Torre Communications to strengthen its brand and prove its staying power to the community. La Torre’s work has helped to boost Project SHARE’s name recognition and better educate the organization’s donors, volunteers and clients on the many opportunities Project SHARE has to offer.

The public affairs category recognizes programs specifically designed to influence public policy and/or affect legislation, regulations, political activities or candidacies. La Torre worked with LeadingAge PA on anaggressive 48-hour public affairs campaign to help fight off unfair changes to senior care in Pennsylvania.

A full-service public relations and public affairs firm based in Harrisburg, La Torre devises communications strategies that help make a difference for Fortune 500 companies, associations and important nonprofits in Pennsylvania and across the nation in a wide range of sectors.
