PSECU, a high-tech progressive financial institution that is almost $5 billion in assets, is seeking a Payments Strategy Manager with has the responsibility for evaluating money movement solutions and opportunities.  These solutions and opportunities will span the payments industry to include P2P Payments, Blockchain, ACH, Bill Payer, Prepaid, Debit, Credit and emerging payment technologies.

This effort will require ongoing research of payment industry initiatives to determine those with the greatest potential to improve PSECU’s service offerings. The solutions will be delivered by working with external vendors and PSECU resources. This position will require interaction with payments industry stakeholders (card networks, EFT networks, processors, merchants, etc.)

This position has the responsibility for strategically positioning PSECU’s digital wallet presence to include Google Pay, Samsung Pay, Apple Pay, Visa Checkout and the PSECU Wallet.  This work will include wallet integration and enhancements to the overall PSECU digital payments platform.

The Payments Strategy Manager also has the responsibility to research and recommend vendor products including APIs to improve PSECU processes and increase the use of PSECU’s payment products.  This work will include being able to evaluate if a specific payment technology adds value for the PSECU membership.

 

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES – Essential for this position:

Ability to evaluate payment technology and its impact on PSECU processes and membership.
Ability to research and anticipate industry evolution and position PSECU payments in a method to maximize implementation resources and increase PSECU transaction volume.
Advanced payment system knowledge and skills in assessing business requirements and developing solutions to problems of unusual complexity that require a high degree of planning.
Serve as primary consultant for the organization on matters related to payment needs and work with PSECU and vendors to deliver solutions to fulfill these needs.
Provide process flow input to Visa Services business units and project teams to ensure quality payment solutions for members in a responsive and cost-effective manner.
Current in new payment technologies, industry products, competitor products and platforms.
Facilitate communication between all key Transaction Services personal and the credit union user community.
Ability to travel and represent PSECU to outside vendors, industry committees and other financial institutions.
Maintain knowledge and skills by attending and participating in industry events and committees.
Makes recommendations to structure and payment service changes needed to meet the evolving payment industry challenges.
Displays professionalism in actions and dress attire.
Maintain 24/7 on call schedule including participating in afterhours planned and unplanned events.
Ability to work independently to identify and provide payment solutions to enhance credit union processes.

Starting Minimum Salary: $84,681-$135,490/yr. (Commensurate w/ experience)

Schedule: Monday- Friday 9am-5pm
