We are seeking a Project Manager to join our growing team. This individual will be responsible for the overall administration and management of projects during the construction phase and is the liaison with the owner’s designated representatives. Candidates must have strong project management experience in a commercial setting. In addition, candidates should be well organized and enjoy working with people.
Communicate and establish rapport and build confidence with owner with focus on client satisfaction. Establish and oversee quality and safety for each project. Provide administration and management of the project during the construction phase and act as the liaison with the owner’s designated representatives. Effectively set and communicate goals of the project to all contractors, architects, project foreman and owner. Perform overall project management control systems, including estimates of cost, submittals and scheduling. Oversee and manage close out all projects. Establish employee training program for field and office operations staff for skill enhancement as well as continuing education programs.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business or related field 5-10 years of experience in general construction, design/build and construction management, with hands on experience in estimating and project managing
Project experience in commercial office, health care, education, retail and light industrial
Knowledge and understanding of AIA contracts
Knowledge of the Central PA market place
Strong critical thinking and decision making ability
Highly organized and able to meet deadlines in a complex environment with shifting priorities
Basic mathematical, spatial and conceptual thinking ability
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong presentation and people skills
Goal oriented, highly motivated self-starter and enjoy working in a fast paced environment
Collaborate effectively with team and solicit help when needed
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel as well as project scheduling software programs
Knowledge of Green/LEED buildings is preferred Experience with managing and supervising teams and staff is preferred
Physical Requirements: Frequent sitting, walking, standing, use of hands, driving, talking. Occasional lifting of 10 to 50 lbs. Must have clear vision, color and depth perception and peripheral vision. Must have clean driving record and able to drive distances when required. May be subject to loud working environment. Must pass background and drug screening process.
