Job Description:

The Hersheypark Retail Department is the perfect place to build skills for your future career! While working as a Store Lead, you will develop valuable skills in customer service and retail operations. These skills are great resume builders that can be used in everyday life and when applying for a future job. Store Leads are given opportunities to learn about all aspects of the retail operations including merchandising, logistics of stock delivery, and store inventory management.

The Retail Store Lead will oversee the operations of an assigned retail location to achieve the department’s goals for the operational season. This position requires a high level of independence.

Job Functions:

In addition to the job functions mentioned below, other job duties may be assigned based upon operational need.

Provide exceptional guest service through the proper training of new team members within your assigned store location
Resolve immediate guest concerns, investigate, and provide recommendations to coaches to correct and prevent reoccurring guest service issues
Perform elevated responsibilities like guest returns, price overrides, and logging on or off of point-of-sale systems. As well as resetting yourself at end of shifts
Identify safety and maintenance related issues and addressing these concerns to Area Coaches and full-time staff to ensure they are addressed
Maintain store layout in accordance with Area Manager and provide feedback on the product assortment within the retail location by understanding the needs of our guests.
Assist in placing orders and other inventory management tasks including mark-outs as needed
Fill in as front-line team member as needed

Basic Qualifications:

Must be at least 15 years of age or older on the date of applying

Additional Qualifications:

One year of retail/customer service experience preferred
Proven guest relations, problem solving, task management skills, and organizational skills
Professional and effective communication skills
Must have reliable transportation to and from work for your scheduled shifts
Must be able to speak, write, and understand English
Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines

Working Conditions:

Must be available to work between 7AM-MIDNIGHT for a minimum of 4 shifts per week in peak season
Must be able to work a minimum of 32 hours per week May- August
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment at locations both indoor and outdoor in a variety of weather situations
Ability to work a flexible schedule (in accordance with Child Labor Laws), including, days, evenings, weekends and holidays
Physical requirements include standing (75-100% of the shift), sitting, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 60 lbs., finger dexterity and communicating
