This position is responsible for taking room service orders, coordinating reservations for The Hershey Lodge restaurants and Room Service
Setting the standard for guest-friendly service
Monitoring the work of service staff, including servers/runners.
Controlling wage and supply costs
Maintaining health, safety, and sanitation standards; and maintaining guest service and hospitality standards
Assisting the Management team in the daily routine of being a lead in the operation
Answering telephones and explaining menus, reservations procedures, etc
Accurately entering guest checks into the point of sale system
Recording dining reservations
Inspecting room service area, equipment and vehicles for cleanliness and proper maintenance
Completing opening and closing responsibilities, including cash control, settlement of guest charges, and accountability for financial assets.
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Proven guest relations, problem solving and organization skills.
Ability to operate a point-of-sale register and calculator, perform mathematical computations, and handle cash.
Professional image representative of property image.
Physical requirements include walking, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, lifting up to 20 pounds, finger dexterity and communicating clearly.
Schedule will vary according to operating needs, Available Mornings/Afternoons/Evenings
Hours include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
