Central Penn College invites applications for the position of the Director of Admissions. The Director of Admissions is a member of the Office of Advancement & Strategic Initiatives leading the Department of Admissions which oversees all aspects of undergraduate and graduate student recruitment. The Director is responsible for all aspects of the admissions department including supervision of admissions counselors and other admissions team members. In conjunction with executive leadership, the Director establishes and ensures compliance with admissions policies, oversees new student recruitment, develops and implements admissions goals and strategies, and ensures the team of counselors accurately relays the school’s mission to prospective students. This position reports directly to the Associate Vice President of Advancement & Strategic Initiatives and will serve as a senior leader of the department, advising the AVP and VP on key actions that lead to enrollment growth and achievement of term-based enrollment objectives for the Summerdale Campus and the Lancaster Center.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

The leadership of the admissions team at the Summerdale campus that is inspiring, encouraging, thoughtful, and personable
Assist in the development and direction of the admissions office’s recruitment and outreach strategies at a time where creativity and innovation are a high priority
Lead, select, develop, and mentor all admissions personnel under their direction in ways that lead to their growth and success
Oversee the development and implementation of financial aid, orientation, and registration processes for new students each term that align with our values that students are family
Foster and model healthy communications among admissions team members
Communicate regularly across the Office of Advancement on recruitment prospects, applicants, interviewees, and accepted students
Preparation and analysis of data to include maintaining statistics regarding enrollment, attrition, financial aid, and new student recruitment
Participate in annual goal setting that is both achievable and appropriate for the growth of the institution
Monitor and track budget, travel, expenditures, scholarship funds, and other finances as directed
Lead an effective strategic enrollment management planning process
Ensure the faithful execution of the strategic enrollment management plan
Serve as an effective ambassador of the college by participating in events involving prospective students; ideal candidate should feel comfortable speaking in front of large groups
Track applicants throughout the admissions process, producing periodic status updates
Work collaboratively across the organization on high priority projects and initiatives leading to strong relationships with other departments and achievement of goals
Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and diverse team atmosphere reflective of the college’s student body and our mission

Ideal Candidate will possess:

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of six years’ experience working in higher education (preferably admissions) with a minimum of three years in a supervisory role.
