Shippensburg University is currently seeking applications for a Center Operations/Educational Programs Coordinator located in the Small Business Development Center (SBDC).
The Shippensburg University SBDC is one of eighteen Centers in the Pennsylvania Small Business Development Center (PASBDC) network and is supported in part by annual legislative funding appropriations from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) and the US Small Business Administration (SBA). The SBDCserves a four-county region consisting of Adams, Cumberland, Franklin, and York counties. Travel to outreach locations within the SBDC service area is required. Participation as a presenter in outreach events or educational programs may also be required.
The Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for the SBDC and assists in the daily operations of the Center, including acting as the liaison to the Lead Office relative to annual client surveys, caseload reporting and impact statistics. The Coordinator will develop, organize the delivery, market and maintain records of SBDC educational programs. The Coordinator helps publicize the services and impact of the SBDC via relationships, electronic communications, the university website, social media, etc.

A Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in business management, marketing, education, communications, psychology or a related field is preferred. Related experience, strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and listening skills and the ability to manage multiple projects is also preferred. Proficient digital technology skills and the ability to use MIS to enter data and generate reports as well as workshop/seminar/event planning experience is also preferred. Successful performance in an on-campus interview is required.
