LEMOYNE, PA (January 10, 2018)Jamie Berrier, a 20-year veteran of RSR REALTORS® who worked her way up from an assistant to partner has been named the company’s President, succeeding Greg Rothman who will remain a Partner and be RSR’s Board Chairman.  Greg Rothman was elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in a Special Election in 2015.

Rounding out the new slate of officers is Jim Koury, who was named CEO, Garrett Rothman as Vice president and Broker of Record, and Bill Rothman as Treasurer. Continuing in their leadership roles are partners Sam Reed and Jan Castner.

“As RSR approaches our 50th year and remains Central Pennsylvania’s largest privately owned full-service real estate firm, I’m excited to have our new slate of officers lead our company forward,’’ said Greg Rothman, whose father, Bill, co-founded the firm in 1970. “Representing the people of Cumberland County’s 87th District is my first priority, but this move allows me to continue working with the company, the people and in the field that I love.’’

Within weeks of starting at RSR, Berrier obtained her real estate license and became Greg Rothman’s assistant. She soon showed her real estate skills and became one of the firm’s top producers and held positions as RSR’s marketing director and sales manager before being named partner in 2009.

“I want to build on the great legacy of our founding partners Bill Rothman and Sam Reed and continue the growth we’ve seen under Greg’s inspiring vision and leadership,’’ Berrier said. “RSR is successful because we have a great team, and I’m excited to help our agents reach new heights in 2018 and beyond.’’

Cementing itself as a perennial leader in the midstate real estate market, in 2017 Lemoyne-based RSR had $85.9 million in residential real estate sales and $75 million in commercial sales. RSR Appraisers & Analysts remains the largest commercial appraisal firm in the region. RSR has represented and developed numerous new subdivisions in Cumberland County.

In a time when attention is focused on equality in the workplace, Berrier said she knows first-hand that the real estate profession is a true meritocracy.

“Women make up more than 50 percent of the Realtors in our country and half of RSR’s agents,’’ Berrier said. “I’m proud to work for a company that cares about its employees and believes in recognizing hard work and commitment.’’

A graduate of Harrisburg Area Community College and Penn State Harrisburg, since 2012 Berrier has ranked in the top 1 percent of all area agents after sales topping $20 million. She lives in South Middleton Township with her husband Shawn and their three children, Blain, Nick and Addy.

Jim Koury said the support the RSR family showed him after an injury 18 years ago forcing him to use a wheelchair underscores what makes the firm a special place for agents and clients alike.

“I owe a great deal of my success to the partners and all the agents over the years who assisted with my needs,’’ Koury said.

“I have been blessed with a great group at RSR and certainly appreciated the opportunity to become a partner in 2007 and now to be named CEO – what a privilege and honor,’’ he said. “I would like to thank Greg for his leadership over the years as he has represented us well.”

Koury said he looks forward to RSR’s continued growth and to welcoming new agents to their winning team.

“Our goal moving forward will not change as we seek to maximize the production of our current agents as well as looking out for new agents who would be a good fit with our RSR family,’’ Koury said.
