The Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC has recently added two staff members to its team. Erin Zakin was named the Chamber & CREDC’s Communications Director, and Jon Cherry joins the CREDC branch as an Economic Development Finance Specialist.

Jon Cherry, Economic Development Finance Specialist
Jon Cherry comes to his new Finance Specialist role at the Chamber with over five years of experience working with the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development as an Economic Development Analyst. At the Chamber, Jon is in charge of CREDC’s loan programs, managing various economic initiatives for CREDC’s clients. Previously, Jon worked closely with the state’s grant recipient’s contracts, helping to strengthen the core program. Jon also managed the disaster recovery budget to ensure the Commonwealth met grant commitment deadlines. Jon completed his B.A. in Economics and B.S. in Business Administration and Management from Penn State University, then went on to earn his Master of Business Administration (MBA) through Temple University’s Fox School of Business and Management.
Erin Zakin, Communications Director
As the Communications Director, Erin Zakin directs the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC’s strategic communications initiatives and manages outreach and promotional efforts for the organization. Erin brings several years of communications and public relations experience, most recently working at Merit, a national marketing and branding company headquartered in Harrisburg, Pa. At Merit, Erin was a Communications Account Executive, working closely with a wide range of clients to help them develop their brand stories, organize and promote events and bring a strategic communications perspective to their organizations. Erin completed her B.A. in Public Relations at Messiah College. Erin has lived in Pennsylvania her whole life and is proud to call Central Pennsylvania her home.
