California-based Hewlett-Packard Co., which already has operations in East Pennsboro Township, is relocating its local workforce of 500 to 600 people to a new office building on the Camp Hill Bypass, the company confirmed today.
Harrisburg-area developer Norman Hoffer of Hoffer Properties is the developer behind 1250 Associates and the two-story, roughly 82,000-square-foot office building at 1250 Camp Hill Bypass, adjacent to Arooga’s Route 15.
HP plans to occupy the entire building. No new jobs or job losses are expected, according to the company.
The multinational information technology giant laid off nearly 100 local workers in 2011 after losing a contract, according to published reports.
No timelines were immediately available for when the move will take place.
The building has been under construction since last year.
A representative from Landmark Commercial Realty Inc., the brokerage that works for Hoffer, declined to comment on the tenant.
