Holy Spirit’s Pharmacy Services recognized for best practices

CAMP HILL – Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) recently presented top honors to employees recently during the company’s annual meeting held in conjunction with the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists’ mid-year professional conference. Holy Spirit’s Pharmacy Services was presented with the CPS’ 2014 Best Practices Award for the Northeast Region.
Holy Spirit’s Pharmacy Services was honored for demonstrating sustained excellence and collaboration within the hospital, as well as implementing innovative changes that benefit patient care. Chuck Arrison, a CPS employee and director of Holy Spirit’s Pharmacy Services, accepted the award for the department.
To receive this award, a score of 95 percent or better on CPS’ annual Operational Audit must be realized. The Operations Audit measures more than 300 elements that include compliance in all areas of the medication management process, both internal and external to the pharmacy.
