Holy Spirit to host “Healthy Heart, Healthy You” Cardiovascular Disease Awareness Day

Holy Spirit—A Geisinger Affiliate will host a free cardiovascular awareness and education event Saturday, Feb. 4, from 8 a.m. to noon at in the hospital auditorium, 503 N. 21st St., Camp Hill.
The “Healthy Heart, Healthy You” event will include free health screenings (body mass index, blood pressure, cardiovascular risk assessment, non-fasting glucose and cholesterol, and waist circumference), a cooking demo featuring a heart-healthy snack, and presentations by Holy Spirit and Geisinger Health System providers. Valerie Pritchett, evening news anchor and health and wellness reporter for ABC 27, will serve as the event emcee.
At 9 a.m., James Lightfoot, M.D., Holy Spirit Cardiology, will present “Understanding Heart Failure,” and at 11 a.m. Joyce Roller, M.D., Geisinger Medical Center, will discuss how complications during pregnancy can increase a woman’s risk of heart disease.
